AsadOwaisi trends after FIR against AIMIM chief

HYDERABAD: #IAmAsadOwaisi among Twitter top trends after FIR against the Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president Asaduddin Owaisi over the former's remarks on the Supreme Court verdict Ayodhya dispute.

On Tuesday, massive support poured in on Twitter for the MIM chief after Twitter handles 'Giraftar karo Owaisi ko' and 'anti-national Owaisi' began trending.

Soon, party workers, followers and youngsters came in support and the hashtag #IAmAsadOwaisi trended all through the day.

The hashtag garnered more than 98,000 tweets by the evening, the number of tweets shot up to over a lakh a little at night occupying the top spot on the micro blogging social media site.
